I finished up my thesis
And I fixed the leaky faucet
While keeping one eye on the kids at play
Did it all by myself
While affirming my health
And I just quit smoking--
Twice today.
My reading list's the greatest
I keep up on the latest
Everything from dolomite to Rollo May
You should see me in the kitchen
Contemplating while I'm cooking
My chicken and my chakras are OK
I can program the VCR
Change the oil on the family car
My apartment's completely rewired
I'm a new, improved Millennium Woman
I'm strong, I'm smart,
I'm tired
I make great herbal tea
(home grown, naturally!)
The wolves run with me--
I'm so wild
My self-confidence is total
And I'm learning how to yodel
I'm a little lady who
Has hugged her inner child
I take tai chi classes to relax
Take the kids to Little League and back
When they see me acting crazy
I take ten
'Cause I've been known to make mistakes
There's only so much you can take
So I take a little something now and then
(Nothing stronger than
Ibuprofen... usually)
First the kids are off at eight
Fifteen minutes left to meditate
And today I'm running late...
It's just three
I'm a new, improved Millennium Woman
Stressing out...
peacefully
[yodeled] Your little old lady
Is having a hot flash today
No, she's not crazy
But maybe you'd best keep away
I can drop my pulse with yoga
Then go shopping with my daughter
Carry credit, carry water,
Chop wood
But my long term investment plan
Is getting all these peaches canned
(Damn, they're good)
It's too much for me alone
I should have myself cloned
There's enough woman here
For three
I'm a new, improved Millennium Woman
That's me
And me,
and me..
I'm a new, improved Millennium
Woman
Millennium Lady, yodel lady-hee
